WALLFLOWERS, a narrative comedy web series by filmmaker Kieran Turner (covered and reviewed on this site previously), world premieres the first installment in a summer series of Mini-sodes today on the Vimeo channel “WallflowersTV.”

There will be a twelve week run of “mini-sodes” spotlighting each character in a dating video. The first week kicks off with the quirky, oft-quoted character of “Rhonda” talking about what she hopes to find in the dating pool. These dating videos will alternate weekly with a brand new advice vlog called “Ask Janice,” where the relationship guru answers viewer questions about dating.

The weekly videos should give ‘Wallflowers’ the ability to continue releasing content without having to go into full production mode on the series.

Executive Producer Kieran Turner says, “I’ve been so thrilled with the response to the show so far and I didn’t want to go too long without being able to bring more original content to our loyal viewers. Hopefully these two mini-series will keep them laughing, help them get to know our characters even better and whet their appetites for more full episodes in the Fall.”

Set in the cruelly comedic dating world of modern NYC, WALLFLOWERS details the disastrous romantic exploits of a tight knit group of Gen-X stragglers coping with the ecstasy and the agony of single life – as members of a Manhattan support group for the hopelessly single.

WALLFLOWERS stars a talented cast of NYC based theatre and film actors, including Lucas Near-Verbrugghe (Broadway’s Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson), Sarah Saltzberg (creator /star of Broadway’s hit musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Angela Lin (Broadway’s Chinglish), Gideon Glick (Broadway’s Spring Awakening & Spider Man: Turn Off The Dark), Gibson Frazier (Man of the Century), Christianne Tisdale (Broadway’s Beauty & The Beast) and Marcia DeBonis (That’s What She Said, The Truman Show, Whatever Works).
