Would you love to screen your web series in London at the Raindance Film Festival? Well now is your chance to win not just free entry, but also a free ride.

“Raindance is held at Piccadilly Circus across the river Thames from Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre,” Festival Director Ed Robinson muses, “What better place to hold a festival honoring the most groundbreaking storytellers of our day?”

At the 6th annual HollyWeb Festival, the Best of the Fest winner will also win airfare and a three-night stay in London as well as entrance into the Raindance Web Festival. “It’s our job to recognize streaming storytellers and provide the Hollywood experience,” says Robinson, “but the web transcends boundaries. And now our festival does too.“

“I was so pleased when Ed brought this idea to me,” Raindance’s Head of Programming, Lydia Schoenberger relates, “Raindance is selective with whom we do business, but Dan and Jenn (Doherty) always put on such a professional event.”

“We know Raindance puts on a premiere festival and are proud to partner with them,” says festival founder Jennifer Doherty, “it’s one of many exciting changes we have planned for HollyWeb this year.”

HollyWeb Festival will also partner with The International Academy of Web Television to present a special award honoring diversity in a digital series. “The IAWTV is thrilled to contribute to recognizing some of the tremendous work at HollyWeb,” mentions board member Jonathan Robbins, “by highlighting a project from a diverse creator.”

“It’s a topic we explored on panels last year…is the web a more diverse landscape than traditional television?” says Robinson, “and I think the answer was a resounding ‘yes.”

“We’re also adding an ‘industry day,” adds Daniel Doherty, “a full day of panels, keynote speakers, and workshops. All topped off with an opening night mixer. We ready to make 2017 our biggest year yet.”
